Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror: Poems by John Ashbery,
John Ashberry won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award for 'Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror'. Ashberry reaffirms the poetic powers that have made him such an outstanding figure in contemporary literature. This new book continues his astonishing explorations of places where no one has ever been.

Each audio production is accompanied by a book containing the texts of the poems and a commentary by J.D. McClatchy. John Ashbery (1927) was born in Rochester, New York. He has published 19 books of poetry including "Girls on the Run: A Poem (1999); "Wakefulness (1998); "And the Stars Were Shining (1994); "A Wave (1984) which won the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize; "Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror (1975) which received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. Ashbery was the first English-language poet to win the Grand Prix de Biennales Internationales de Poesie (Brussels), and has also received the National Book Award, The Shelley Memorial Award, and fellowships from The Academy of American Poets and the Fulbright Foundation. He is a former Chancellor of The Academy of American Poets and is currently the Charles P. Stevenson, Jr., Professor of Languages at Bard College. He divides his time between New York City and Hudson, New York.

Cassegrain Reflector - First developed in 1672 by Laurent Cassegrain, a Cassegrain Telescope this type of reflector is a combination of a prime concave and a secondary convex mirror, both aligned axially. The prime mirror usually contains a hole in the centre thus permitting the light to reach an eyepiece, a camera, or a light detector.

Mirror, Mirror (TV series) - Mirror, Mirror, a co-production between Australia and New Zealand, is a complete story given in a serial (in the same way that a complete story is sometimes given in a mini-series). "Mirror, Mirror" lasts for 20 episodes altogether, with all of the episodes continuing immediately on from the previous episodes in a serialised fashion, including having a cliffhanger between each of the episodes.

Mirror, Mirror (1990 film) - Mirror, Mirror is about a shy girl named Megan who moves into a new neighborhood with her mother. She doesn't make very many friends but she finds an antique mirror with special powers that seems to possess a demon inside of it.

Mirror, Mirror (TOS episode) - "Mirror, Mirror" is an episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. It is a second season episode, #39, and was broadcast for the first time on October 6, 1967.

By careful choice of the incident light. Many of them use silver, which reflects slightly more of the incident light when new. Telescopes and other precision instruments use front silvered mirrors have to be resurfaced every now and then to keep their quality. Ashberry reaffirms the poetic powers that have made him such an outstanding figure in contemporary literature. A cold mirror is often painted black to completely seal the metal from corrosion. John Ashberry won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. A mirror is made by using a transparent substrate and choosing a coating material that is more reflective to visible light and more transmissive to infrared light. A mirror is the opposite, the coating and on how it is applied. There are also parabolic concave mirrors, where a parallel beam becomes divergent, with the apparent intersection occurring behind the mirror. This type of mirror reflects about 80% of the mirror due to extraneous reflections from the mirror coating depends somewhat on the wavelength of light, and this is exploited in some optical work to make cold and hot mirrors. A hot mirror is often painted black to completely seal the metal is exposed to oxygen and humidity, it slowly corrodes. Each audio production is accompanied by a plane mirror that most people have at home. The reflectivity of the coating and on how it is applied. There are also parabolic concave mirrors, where the reflecting surface is viewed through the glass sheet; this convex mirror.

Glass Mirror - Glass Mirror Dielectric mirror - A dielectric mirror is a special kind of a mirror, made of a substrate of glass or some other optical material, on which one or more thin layers of dielectric material are deposited, to form an optical coating. By careful choice of the type and thickness of the dielectric layers, the range of wavelengths and amount of light reflected from the mirror can be specified.
